"Fraser Gallop makes its presence known not in volume or gloss but in classic, savoury, structured definition." Tyson Stelzer
FRASER GALLOP ESTATE
Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River 2012
Nigel Gallop began the development of the vineyard in 1999, planting cabernet sauvignon, semillon, petit verdot, cabernet franc, malbec, merlot, sauvignon blanc and multi-clone chardonnay. The dry-grown vines have modest yields, followed by kid-glove treatment in the winery. With Clive Otto (formerly of Vasse Felix) on board, a 300-tonne winery was built, with highly qualified assistant winemaker Kate Morgan joining the team in 2008. The wines have had richly deserved success in wine shows and journalists' reviews.
