Friuli's indigenous grape, as expressed by a master winemaker.
Friulano, Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC 2011
Livio Felluga is a renowned producer from Friuli, a small region in the Northeast of Italy. In order to maintain the fresh and bright characteristics of Pinot Grigio, this wine is aged in stainless steel on the lees. Harmonious and complex, there are nice hints of citrus and apricot together with hints of honey and biscuits. Smooth on the palette this wine has nice complexity and minerality with a slightly-oily mouthfeel.
Colli Orientali del Friuli
After the Friuli wine region was devastated during World War 2, Livio Felluga was instrumental in leading the region back to making some of Italy’s best wines. It was hard work, but Livio Felluga set it with tenacity and passion that would help him over the years to create one of Friuli’s most impressive wineries, earning his universally acknowledged reputation as the man who re-established Friuli’s winemaking heritage. That passion for wine and respect for tradition remains the driving force behind Livio Felluga wines today.
