The original Godfather of top Sicilian reds - long-lived, elegant and herbaceous, never blowsy or over-oaked.
Rosso del Conte, Contea di Sclafani DOC 2007
Towards the end of the 60's, Count Giuseppe decided to create a special reserve of Regaleali Rosso, capable of aging like other great international red wines. Rosso del Conte is produced with Nero d'Avola from plants more than forty years old, almost unique today in Sicily.

Contea di Sclafani
Arguably Sicily’s leading wine producer, the Tasca d’Almerita family estate is situated in the Sclafani countryside in the heart of Sicily. Established in 1830, the estate is best known for its characterful wines based on the best local grapes: Nero d’Avola (red), Catarratto and Inzolia (white). The red flagship wine Rosso del Conte was created in the early 1970’s, and quickly became a benchmark for quality wines from the region. It is still considered the “father” of modern Sicilian high-end reds. Thanks to the cool high-altitude vineyards, the white wines are crisp and aromatic, and the well-known Regaleali range represents great value for money.
